Not The First

Life goes on , we rise and fall
It's nothing new under the sun
I'm not the first nor the last
To leave my mortal trace between the future and the past

A lot of water has passed under the bridge
Since i last hoped to make you think
You still grope for reliance
Pass your sins in review , it stands to reason that i do

We are here on earth for a moment
We pass away
Like a dying sun we fade , hoping to be saved
We are in this place for a moment
Looking up
Reaching to the stars , dying like the sun

Let me guide you through the disingenuous crowd
I'm not the first nor the last
I'm not the burning one but i can see eternal light

We die for highered colours thou we seem it makes no sense
For what we love today - tomorrow goes away
Between joy and sorrow
We keep on changing toys
And what we build is always followed by what we destroy
