Wasn't waiting, wasn't ready

Led me straight to what occurred
Not a person, not a place
But something flew into this space
A firebird, unnamed, unheard
But I felt it, and I stirred

Could've been a moment's breath
Or a thought I hadn't thought yet
Could've been a hand I held
Or just a way I finally fell

Could've been a dream I lost
That came back wrapped in different cloth
Didn't need a reason why
Just gave me back the will to try
