Crusade of conviction, castration of instinct
Repressing impulse, slowly grinded away.
Goading the loyal, to bear the weight of the world
Preaching your faith, with a silver forked tongue
Upon these unknown to the means or the end
Coaxed by your hand into this subversive domain

Despondent orations for the clambouring hordes
Cloaked in the doctrine, sworn time and again
With twisted arms, pushing aside all that they've known
The scope of repression, all encompassing
An ultimate committal, sacrificing themselves
Doubters them all, lured by the fear of eternity

How long before the fools finally stir?
Heralding the end of your numbers unseen
How many more for your world within worlds?
To unwittingly, for your ends divide the spectrum
This fervour and hatred, they breathe the same air
Aligning for a time in your twisted form

Birthing the bottom feeders cast from your mould
Dredging the sewers in the name of god.

Visions of dependants, mistaken for hope
Such certainty betrays the lack of reason

The words of hierarchy taken for truth
Like serpents preying on the need to believe,
Preying on the fear of eternity.
