The Flame Still Burns Within Me

Deep in the gorge of death
Awaits a song to sing
For the crowns we once wore
Have ceased the voices we proudly raised
One, forevermore shall see
The beauty that is her
A beauty
Calleth death
And I walk towards her
Onwards to eternity

A song of death and mourn
For this night is mine again
A greater world comes forth
As I swell within triumph
And I'm soaked in blood
I long for a whisper
Of forgotten gods of old

Then I became
The never ending rain
As I burn
In the light of silence

And yes
To the death now
As the earth will wash away all traces
And all will be vanished in flames
And all that is left will be dust

And the rains of nightfire come down

The fire
The ruins
Lays out the bold truth
Yet we are here
Waiting for that terrible night to come
The highest mountain
To the bottom of the ocean
Seen as never before
Release the river
Release the unbearable darkness
All as a shade of pale
And the fire still burns within me
