The eyes of pain
They stare again
Sinister, hideous
Screams infect my brain

Days stretch into echoes
Waiting never ends
Silence lodged inside my chest
As the daylight bends

Faded morning
Porcelain cracks in hand
Linen torn and soiled
Drenched in filth and sand

Familiar faces
Behind misted glass
Greetings and farewells
Out of rhythm, out of grasp

Who could cast the stone at me?

Who could curse my honesty?

Let the madman keep his madness
Let the elder rot in time
Let the youth chase empty mirrors
Let the man betray his mind

I can't bear the world's affliction
These wounds I cannot heal
I only feel the pain
That I alone conceal

Forgive me: Says the Lord of Time
No trespassing in these lines
The voice of Chronos, echoing halls
God Moros, break these binding walls

End of day, a bitter trace
No matter what I try to face
I rise, already erased

Who could cast the stone at me?
Who could curse my honesty?

Who could dare accuse me now

For breaking, but not knowing how?
Which God would dare to raise a hand
For sinning, again, again, again

Let the jester crave his throne
Let the proud stand all alone
Let the harlot dress in gold
Let the liar spin what's sold

Oh, shadowed days
Fearful, grim, and grey
Ebony in snow
A garden in decay

These are the only days I know
The ones that were assigned
The price will come, I know
At the start, or at the end of time

Let the wind destroy
Let the ground collapse
Let the fire consume
Let the water react
