Everyday

Woke up with breath in my body
Sunlight touching my face
Even when life gets heavy
There's still mercy in the day

I used to pray for the things
That I'm standing in now
Used to wonder if the rain
Would ever stop coming down

Now I see it more clearly
Every season had a reason
Even pain come with a lesson
Even loss came with meaning

So I open up my heart
Let the Spirit do the rest
Some days I'm still learning
But I know that I am blessed

If the road gets long

I've been held this long
By amazing grace

Every step that I'm taking
Is proof I am still alive

Even when I start stressing
I look up and remember

There's beauty in the quiet
There's power in the pause
There's peace in surrender
When I give it all to God

I don't need every answer
I don't need every door
What is meant for my spirit
Will be mine and even more

I've been learning to be gentle
With the woman I became
She survived so many storms
And still walks soft through the rain

So I speak love to my body
Speak light into my mind
I am here, I am healing
I am right on time
