you walk away from life
through the desert of the souls
i follow for awhile
to help you find your goal
you insist you'll find the truth
and that you'll pay it with your youth
i try to understand
after all i am your friend
as far as i can go
always - everywhere
there's a grey spot of despair
a solitary pain
that is filling up the air

is this the end. a final goodbye
is this the tears of fading life
