Reverse the Lie

When the hour of their death arrives
When the minutes cry despair in hope
That someone will give them a chance

To find at last what once was lost
And breathe this life and bring back trust
To warn and teach us what they've learned
So we don't seek in vain

So we can reverse the lie

Standing in the center of my own dream
I can remember the burning in their eyes
The gestures of the people seeking others
One path for all and pointing towards this fall

And walking over, they seek for their eyes
To show us all how shadows die

As they walk towards this fateful end
As they march towards their grave they hope
And they wish that they would have known

That hypocrites had only lied
And wished they'd walked with open eyes
To see the path they took was wrong
But hoped to feed what's right
