I long for you, like storm clouds long to destroy transmission towers
Like a hurricane longing to scatter high voltage lines through a small town
I long for you, like rays and lightning long to destroy cabins and trees
Like a tropical rain longing to flood shores and mothers eyes

We slow dance under a black and white sky

Like the fire fears the ice cold water swashing from a fireman's hose

Like the earth fears the crescent warmth bestowed by human contradiction
