I gaze at the Moon and see its glow
Tonight it shows what I didn't know
It simply shines, just plays its part
And that's who I was, right from the start

I always felt like a fraud inside
Someone pretending, trying to hide
Scared of being caught in the act
Scared of failing, and that's a fact

Believing I was smaller, slipping through the crack
Unforgiving of the errors I made
Ignoring the victories, letting them fade

I thought I was a lie, a hollow tune
But guess what? I was the burning full Moon
I thought I was dark, just a new Moon phase
But I am real, setting the night ablaze
