Here we go
Era uma vez não há muito tempo atrás
Once upon a time not long ago
Quando as pessoas ainda usavam pijamas e viviam devagar
When people wore pajamas and lived life slow
As leis eram severas e a justiça decente
Laws were stern and justice stood
E as pessoas se comportavam muito bem
And people were behaving like they're all too good

Tinha um garoto que era maldoso
There lived a little boy who was mislead
Pra um outro garotinho foi o que ele disse
By another little boy and this is what he said
Eu e você vamos ganhar grana essa noite
Me and you Ty, we gonna make some cash
Roubar uns otários e sumir
Robbing old folks and making a dash

Eles roubaram, o dinheiro veio fácil
They did the job, money came of ease
Mas não conseguiam mais parar, parecia doença
But one couldn't stop it's like he had a disease
Roubaram outro e mais outro e uma irmã e um irmão
He robbed another and another and a sister and a brother
Ele tentou roubar um cara que era DT à paisana
He tried to rob a man who was a DT undercover

O tira agarrou seu braço, ele começou a se sacudir
The cop grabbed his arm, he started acting erratic
Ele disse fica frio, garoto, não precisa se assustar
He said: Keep still boy, no need for static
Deu-lhe um soco no estômago e um tapa
Punched him in his belly and he gave him a slap
Mas mal ele sabia que o garoto era esquentado
But little did he know the little boy was strapped

O menino puxou uma arma e disse por que me bateu?
The kid pulled out a gun, he said: Why'd you hit me?
O tambor mirou imediatamente nos rins do policial
The barrel's headed straight for the cops kidney
O tira se assustou, o garoto percebeu
The cop got scared, the kid he starts to figure
Eu vou pegar anos se puxar o gatilho
I'll do years if I pull this trigger

Então ele se mandou dando a volta no quarteirão
So he cold dashed and ran around the block
O tira chamou pelo rádio uma policial mulher
Cop radios in to another lady cop
Ele fugiu até uma árvore e viu a irmã
He ran by a tree, there he saw the sister
Ela tentou acertar sua cabeça, ele revidou mas errou
Shot for the head, he shot back but he missed her

Olhou a sua volta procurando escapatória
Looked 'round good and from expectations
Decidiu seguir até a estação de metrô
He decided to head for the subway station
Mas ela tava vindo então ele foi a esquerda
But she was coming and he made a left
Ele corria o máximo até ficar sem fôlego
He was running top speed till he was out of breath

Bateu em um velho e jurou que o matou (foi mal)
Knocked an old man down and swore he killed him (sorry)
Então ele seguiu até um prédio abandonado
Then he made a move to an abandoned building
Correu subindo as escadas até o piso de cima
Ran up the stairs up to the top floor
Abriu a porta e adivinha quem ele viu?
Opened up a door and then guess who he saw?

Dave, que era um demônio viciado
Dave the dope fiend shooting dope
Que nem sabe o que é água nem sabão
Who don't know the meaning of water nor soap
Ele disse "preciso de munição, rápido!"
He said: I need bullets, hurry up, run!
O demônio viciado lhe deu uma espingarda
The dope fiend pulled out a spanking machine gun

Eles saíram
They went outside
Tinha polícia em todo lugar
There were cops all over
Eles se meteram em um carro
So they dipped into a car
Que era um Nova roubado
A stolen Nova

Aceleraram pela rua fazendo 83
Raced up the block doing 83
Bateram numa árvore próxima a universidade
Crashed into a tree near the university
Escapou vivo mas o carro tava acabado
Escaped alive although the car was battered
Ra-tá-tá-tá e os policiais se espalhando
Rat-a-tat tatted and all the cops scattered

Ficou sem bala
Ran out of bullets
Mas ainda tava no gás
And he still had static
Pegou uma mulher grávida
Grabbed the pregnant lady
E puxou a automática
And pulled out the automatic

Mirou na cabeça dela
Pointed at her head
Ele disse que a arma tava pronta
He said the gun was full of lead
E disse aos tiras
He told the cops
Se afasta, ou a queridinha aqui já era
Back off, or honey here's dead

No fundo do coração
Deep in his heart
Ele sabia que estava errado
He knew he was wrong
Então deixou a moça ir
So he let the lady go
E começou a correr
And he starts to run on

Sirenes soavam
Sirens sounded
E ele esgotado
And he seemed astounded
E, logo depois
And, before long
O garotinho tava cercado
The little boy got surrounded

Ele largou a arma
He dropped the gun
E acabou a glória
And so went the glory
E é desse jeito
And this is the way
Que eu termino a história
I have to end this story

Ele só tinha (que?) dezessete
He was only (what?) seventeen
Num sonho de maluco
In a madman's dream
O polícia atirou
The cop shot the kid
Ainda ouço ele gritar
I still hear him scream

Não tem graça nenhuma
This ain't funny
Nem se atreva a rir
So don't you dare laugh
Só mais um caso
Just another case

About the wrong path
