Better Days

She use to be one of the boys with a ponytail in back
He went away, needless to say that he's never coming back
She got herself a nine to five when she moved away from home
He didn't like the rules they had, said he'd make it on his own

And it's funny how everybody changed
and I still stayed the same
You know it feels so strange

She use to live right down the street, but she didn't say goodbye
the summer that she moved away and it made me wonder why
We use to play on Saturdays in the rain and sleet and snow
but now i just don't recognize the friends I use to know
