Eu virei a chave na porta e olhei para o escuroI turned the key into the door and gazed onto the dark
Ela me deu uma vela que acendeu sem faíscaShe handed me a candle which she lit without a spark
Então eu entrei no longo, longo corredor escuroSo I stepped into the long, long pitch dark hall
A vela queimava tão fraca que eu tive que sentir a paredeThe candle burned so dim I had to feel along the wall
O brilho fraco piscava enquanto eu seguia em frenteThe dim glow flickered as I felt m way ahead
