com corações alegres, sem pensamentos tristes, o barril vazio estão carregando.with hearts of gladness, no thought of sadness, the empty barrel they're walkin'.

Não valorizam ouro, pois o ouro vai se acabar, nem estocam nem tesouros estão preparando,No gold they cherish for gold will perish, no store nor treasure preparing,

Tarde e cedo, estão sempre cheios com cegos, aleijados e mancos também,late and early they're crowded fairly with blind men, crippled and lame too,
