Você vai atravessar o deserto árido,You shall cross the barren desert,
mas não vai morrer de sede.but you shall not die of thirst.
Você vai vagar longe em segurança,You shall wander far in safety,
mesmo sem saber o caminho.though you do not know the way.

Você vai falar suas palavras em terras estrangeiras,You shall speak your words in foreign lands,
e todos vão entender,and all will understand,
Você verá a face de Deus e viverá.You shall see the face of God and live.

Não tenha medo,Be not afraid,
eu vou à sua frente sempre,I go before you always,
vem me seguir,Come follow Me,
e eu te darei descanso.and I shall give you rest.

Se você passar por águas turbulentasIf you pass through raging waters
no mar, você não vai se afogar.in the sea, you shall not drown.
Se você andar entre as chamas ardentes,If you walk amidst the burning flames,
você não vai se machucar.you shall not be harmed.

Se você estiver diante do poder do infernoIf you stand before the pow'r of hell
e a morte estiver ao seu lado,and death is at your side,
sabe que eu estou com você, em tudo isso.know that I am with you, through it all

pois um dia vocês vão rir.for one day you shall laugh.

E se homens maus te insultarem e odiarem, tudo por minha causa,And if wicked men insult and hate you, all because of Me,
bem-aventurados, bem-aventurados são vocês!blessed, blessed are you!
