Dawn of Winter

Behold the sunrise on a tree of golden leaves
With years in silence he has risen to the sky
His roots are bound to the field of memories
Memories doomed to die
Once his beauty withers ruin is so close
Pale as death the leaves will fall to the ground
Yet far away arcane horns of destiny blow
Whispers of the dawn

Beneath the mountains by the castle of the damned
The king in armour seals his era with a tear
Behind his closed eyes just an image of his land
When the dawn of winter's near

Brave paths arise from the heart, from blazing flames
From wisdom's voices, from times long gone
So he sheds a single tear and fades away
Sacrifice of the one
And from his tear grows a river of gold
flowing to the tree so he'll wither no more
With the first sun of winter snow starts to fall
A new day will dawn
