If the gates of the generous were closed
אִם נִנְעֲלוּ דַּלְתֵי נְדִיבִים
im nin'alu daltei nedivim
My doors from above were not locked
דַּלְתֵּי מָרוֹם לֹא נִנְעֲלוּ
daltei marom lo nin'alu
The living God is enthroned above the cherubim
אֵל חַי מְרוֹמָם עַל כְּרוּבִים
el chai meromam al kerubim
All in his spirit will rise
כֻּלָם בְּרוּחוֹ יַעֲלוּ
kulam beruchó ya'alu

For they are near to his throne
כִּי הֵם אֱלֵי כִּסְּאוֹ קְרוֹבִים
ki hem elei kis'ao kerubim
They will confess his name and praise him
יוֹדוּ שְׁמוֹ וִיהַלְּלוּ
yodu shemo viyehal'lu
Animals that are wanted and in captivity
חַיּוֹת שֶׁהֵם רצוא וְשֶׁבַּיָּם
chaiyot shehem ratzo ve'shebayam
From the day of creation they were included
מִיּוֹם בָּרֵאָה נִכְלְלוּ
mi'yom bare'ah niklelu

To life
אֶל חַי
el chai

And with six round wings
וּבְשֵׁשׁ כְּנָפַיִם סְבִיבִים
u'be'shesh k'nafayim svivim
Clouds will sometimes roll in
עָפִים בָּעֵת יִתְגַּלְגְּלוּ
afim ba'et yitgal'gelu

If we are locked up, if we are locked up
אִם נִנְעֲלוּ, אִם נִנְעֲלוּ

Praise his name and sanctify it
מוֹדִים שְׁמוֹ וּמִקְדָּשִׁים
modim shemo u'mikdashim
From his glory they wear
מִזִּיו כְּבוֹדוֹ לוֹבְשִׁים
mi'ziv kvodo lovshim

And with six round wings
וּבְשֵׁשׁ כְּנָפַיִם סְבִיבִים
u'be'shesh k'nafayim svivim

עָפִים בָּעֵת יִתְגַּלְגְּלוּ

We will answer with the sound of Arab songs
יַעֲנוּ בְּקוֹל שִׁירִים עֲרֵבִים
y'anu be'kol shirim arevim
Together they marched
יַחַד בָּאוֹתוֹת נִדְגְּלוּ
yachad ba'otot nidgelu
