Here we are on the field of our fathers
Ground still soaked with the indictment of Cain
I hear a cry, and it's the voice of my brother
He sings a song of lament for his slain
I hear another song; it's the anthem of children
Sounding faint from a distance
It crescendos with time

Ashes to ashes, dust to dust
All we are fighting for is food for moth and rust
Let's plant a garden so the hungry can eat

Eye to eye at the line drawn for battle

The sword is raised; there is death in its shadow
