Have you heard the story
About the monster that we made
From murder and greed and now he bleeds to send us all away

We tried to keep him secret
Locked behind a door
But nobody there could hold him down
He’s stronger than us all

He whispers to the sparrows
A message to be told
It’s time to warn the others here of what will now unfold

Now the sparrows fly away
Never to return
Lying on a dying land we watch the mountains burn

Now our monster shakes the earth
You find another soul to blame
