Behold the Pleasure

Behold the pleasure
and the desired
Spring brings back joys,
the meadow blooms in purple,
the sun brightens everything.
Now let sadness depart!
Summer returns,
now departs
the severity of winter.

Now melts away
and diminishes
hail, snow, and the rest;
winter flees,
and now sucks
the breasts of Spring;
that person is miserable,
who neither lives,
nor enjoys
under the right hand of Spring.

They boast
and rejoice
in the honey of sweetness,
those who strive,
to make use
of Cupid's reward:
let us, by the command of Venus,
boast
and rejoice
in being equal to Paris.
