First and Last

Out of the darkness, a voice spoke the word
And the first song of creation was heard
The oceans were gathered, the stars took their place
Fills the universe with beauty and grace
From the dust of the earth, He gave us our breath
The Author of life and the conqueror of death

For He is the Great I AM, the first and the last
The Ruler of future, the present, the past
The Maker of heavens, the King on the throne
By His holy name, all creation is known
No boundary can hold Him, no power can contend
The Alpha, Omega, with no start or end

He commands the bright Sun to light up the day
And He guides every storm that comes in our way
Before there was time, He already was there
Holding the world in the palm of His care
The mountains bow down and the oceans declare
The majesty only the Creator can share

For He is the Great I AM, the first and the last
